I would suggest that you begin your exploration to a resolution to this
question here:
1. bring up the menu mar … VO keys + M
2. arrow down to the system preferences option and press enter
3. use VO + the right arrow key to move over to the preferences pane
4. use VO + shift + down arrow to interact with the preferences pane
5.
you will see a general button. press VO + spacebar
6. you will now be in an area where you may make adjustments to certain options
which will be implemented across the Mac environment.

semi-sighted person are way too small but no one has been able to help
me make them bigger and easier to hit. They are the scroll bars (up
and down) which are too thin, and the teensy red /yellow/green buttons
for close/minimize/maximize. They are unbelievably small and neither
they nor the scroll bars respond to font sizing, icon sizing or even
using the + key to increase pages. The apple genius bar didn't know,
and nowhere on the web can I find any solution.
