Hi Mark, guess you’re a bit more lucky with your machine than I am in this
case. My 15-inch I7 from 2015 gets warm and hot quickly. The fan is kicking on
with simple tasks like paging through lots of emails. And it struggles with
virtual instruments in logic pro resulting in high fan noise, drop outs and
crashes. I decided to do only light simple stuff and buy a powerful M1 or even
better an M2 machine for my higher demands when the time is right. It’s just a
bit sad that I have to wait yet another year. But I’m not gonna buy the very
first generation of a new processor architecture.
Until then I enjoy the nice keyboard of my MBP 2015. Despite it’s shortcomings
I like this machine somehow a lot.

Do you actually have a new M1 Silicon Mac? If yes, what is it like?
I’m very excited, but I’ll give the developers some time and probably won’t
replace my MBP 2015 until the 2nd generation of the new M1 chip is out.
