Don’t know if this started with the update to IOS 15, I did that a few days ago
and just noticed this today.
Using either of the U.S. English voices I have loaded, on the Wikipedia app the
word South is pronounced Sow-jeet. That’s a really rough phonetic
approximation. At first I thought it was something with Wikipedia, the article
I was on was about South America, I thought maybe I had missedn that there was
this authentic way of identifying the continent or something. When I switched
Voiceover languages to any of the other English ones I had loaded, UK, Ireland,
South Africa etc it pronounced it properly.
No apparent fix to this glitch, just weird. Anyone else experience weird
pronunciations?
