The commands to turn the "anywhere" security function for gatekeeper are on
youtube along with the video. I will post them here; if you really need to use
them, don't forget to turn the security function back on. However, doing this
does not solve my "security agent has no windows" problem. I believe it to be a
voiceover focussing problem from what I saw in the Applevis posts but will have
to wait till I have a sighted person around to verify this.
Here are the terminal commands:
sudo spctl --master-disable
This enables the anywhere choice as far as downloading and using apps.
Here is the reverse to restore the gatekepper's restriction.
sudo spctl --master-enable

identified developer and you could override that by opening it a different
way. Now this has been tightened; the boundaries of the walled garden are
definitely being pushed inward. Not sure how Apple defines just who an
