Thanks, the handy part about a metronome with a distinct sound for beat one
is it’s ability to rescue mediocre musicians when they lose track. I find
this especially on rest measures.
Any thoughts on the record indication?

Ok, here we go…
Is there a way to change the beats on the metronome? I followed the
instructions I found, and can change the tone and the volume, but I can’t
figure out if there is a way to emphasize beat one of the measure, or beats
1 & 3. Is there a way to do this?
When I arm a track for recording using control R, I don’t get an indication
this has happened. Is there a menu or tool bar command to do this so I get
confirmation? Would this be helped with a change in verbosity? Oh, I do the
exact thing the host does in the basics podcast, I just don’t get the
announcement.
Thanks much,
