There are MacBook Air models that you can buy for under $1000 these days.
Have a look at the refurbished Mac store in the Apple online store. I'm sure
you can find something… if you don't need a laptop you could also consider
the Mac Mini.

If you want it for home, take a look at the Mac Mini. Hope this helps.

Hi list,
I have had my MacBook Pro for several years now and it is no longer getting
updates. It is also not keeping a charge unless it is plug-in. So I am in
the market for a new computer… I really can't afford to get another MacBook
Pro, but I was wondering if there's anything else Apple offers that might
work which might be a little more affordable. Any thoughts?
I mostly only use my computer for Internet browsing, wordprocessing, and
checking email.
