Thanks much, that did what I needed.
My fvourite part is when you stop interacting with the control bar and it says,
out of control bar. It’s been a while since I’ve been to an out of control bar,
but it’s good to remember my misspent youth.

to place the region on a smaller division, such as bar 3 division 2, go into
the control bar where you have the tempo and time signature and you will see
the playhead position, interact and left right arrow to where you want to
place the region. then paste.
Or for a finer position go into the track time ruler and interact with the
playhead thumb then interact with the value indicator and move to the
position and paste.

Bet you thought I had everything figured out in Garage Band by now, ha,

I’m trying to move a region to a spot other than beat 1 of a measure. If I
cut it I can use comma and period to move by measure, but what if I want to
drop the region at beat 3 of the measure?
Thanks,
Ian
