Hi Everyone,
I am getting a new Mac, and I have some questions about using Migration
Assistant.
It is my understanding that Migration Assistant will pretty much take
care of itself; however, I believe that I encrypted my backups, and I’m not 100
percent sure about my password for the encryption.
If I reformat my backup drive and start backing up my old computer, can
I set it up to back up the old computer unencrypted?
Secondly, is there any way to find out my original password? I have a
feeling I know what it is, but I’m not 100 percent sure if I do.
I have never used Migration Assistant before, and I don’t want to lose
any data if I can avoid it.
