This is one of those low-level but still annoying things that I can’t figure
out: When I’m having a conversation in Messages, and then switch to another
app and minimize the Messages app, the conversation I’m in closes. Previous to
IOS16 and upward, whatever conversation I was last having would still be open
when I returned to the Messages app. Now, I have to choose the person’s name
from my contacts list again to resume the conversation. It’s not a critical
problem, just an annoying extra step I have to go through many times a day.
I’ve trolled through Settings, but see nothing that applies to this annoying
tendency. Anyone got a fix for this.
