Thanks, Ian; that’s good information. Where I have a problem, though, is that
google Docs is utterly lousy with Mac OS, and sometimes I need to paste a link
to my newly created google docs document, without it looking all messy. That’s
the part I can’t figure out. The only thing I can think to do is copy/paste the
google docs link into an Email on the iPhone, mail it to myself, pick it up
with the Mac and copy/paste it to the clipboard, then make it a short link in
an Email message using Mac mail… There ought to be a better way to make the
“Click Here,” text be the link to my google docs document. But, hey, it’s
better than nothing…

As a follow up to your follow up, I tried linking text in the Notes app
because I’ve found it to be a good way to draft emails, especially ones I
need to send out a few times over like Zoom session invitations. It works
great in the Mac app, but on iPhone it says you're supposed to just copy and
paste, the URL will be clickable, but you an’t replace it with short text.
One thing I’ve found, there is an option to add link in the edit menu on Mac
Mail. Using the example of Google <http://www.google.com/>, I tried linking
from the selected text, looks like it worked.
So it looks like this is a thing in both Mail and Notes, you can do it on Mac
but not on the IOS version of the same app.
I just checked one of the notes with a link that I created on my Mac, on my
iPhone the link shows up fine in the note, so it’s just the entry process.

Thanks again for solving the mystery of how to embed links in an article
with the right key word. I’d like to be able to do this from within Apple
Mail on IOS. When sending an Email to my supervisor, I chose a title,
selected it, and then tried to get a context menu by typing VO-M on my
keyboard. I got a context menu, but no choice to add a link. So, what’s the
analogous process for adding a link to an Email with the proper label?
Thanks.
