Rather old, 2015 Macbook Air. It has been giving me trouble for a bit, and I
just received a tech assessment from a state agency that is going to set me up
with a new machine at the speed of paperwork.
More information since I last queried the list…
My wife gave me sighted assistance, and the machine will start, but no audio.
Voiceover comes on, but no audio output.
This got me pondering what was happening when the problem first started, I was
doing a soundcheck of a chapel PA system, and plugged an aux cable into the
headphone port. has anyone ever heard of this messing up a sound chip/circuit?
I had my wife do a shut down, problem happened again on restart. If I can get
it running again I’’ try a USB sound interface and Blue Tooth to see if it is
the physical hedphones port, and if it can be bypassed.
Cheers,
Ian

Hello list,
My Mac is stuck in the startup process. I can hear the chime, but it is
broken up into microbursts, chattering along like a car trying to start on a
cold day.Using SeeingAI on my phone I could read that the log in screen was
up.
Anyone experience anything like this?
