Maybe I’ll talk myself into Logic when I get a new machine.
I had my son work with me, the download control for loops was there but not
being recognized by Voiceover. I now have a couple of drummers to practice with
along with the beats in the essentials pack. And of course a couple of cowbells.

Seriously, you really need to think about logic. It will make life easier
and you would be surprised how handy the full library will be.
