[macvoiceover] Last attempt at getting instructions for scanning on the Mac

while I have given up on using readiris pro since I'm managing fine with
Finereader in windows, I have been trying to help Carla to get Readiris
working. she is using the latest edition: 11.6, and is using the upgrade
edition rather than corporate. she is able to get into Preferences on her
Macbook, which I am unable to do on the Mac mini. However, we have been
unable to figure out how to go through the whole process.

In one last attempt to get this to work, I am requesting that somebody who
uses readiris pro regularly for scanning and ocr, or who uses readiris in
tandem with vuescan, please try to write down step-by-step what you are
doing. I know this may not be an easy task, but this would help not only
Carla but others in the future who attempt to scan with the Mac. I did
attempt reading the Users guide but for some reason I found it almost
impossible to understand and couldn't find all the buttons etc. referred to
in what I did understand. Also, does either readiris or vuescan take care
of page orientation automatically or does one have to make sure the page is
oriented correctly or specify a particular rotation of the image.

Thanks for any help.
