Cheryl,
They do great work. As I recall, it took about 4-hours for the replacement.
Good luck,
CJ

Oh thanks for that info! We have the same place here and I've had them build
batteries for a braillelite 40 in the past and put batteries in another piece
of equipment!

Cheryl,
We have a place here in Tucson, Batteries Plus, that performs battery
replacements for iPhones. It, typically, costs around $50. This includes
the price of the battery & the labor. Don’t know if this helps, but I
thought it’d provide you with a bench-mark for pricing. Probably anymore
than that, & you’re looking @ too much.
Hope this helps,
CJ

My phone is not still under warranty so I would have to look into the cost.
It was my understanding that the batteries usually are not replaced but
maybe that is just for the iPad. Thanks for the info.

I have had batteries replaced in my phones. In fact, I just had the battery
in my 6s replaced in December as it wasn’t holding a charge for very long.
I’ve gone both through Apple for battery replacements and through third
party repair places and had positive experiences with both. The closest
Apple store to me is an hour away, so I opted to go to a local cell phone
repair store and had issues when I needed a new battery for my 5s. When I
was visiting my parents for Christmas, I went to the Apple store in their
city in December. My phone was still under warrantee and I didn’t have to
pay anything.

about three times in the last week or so VoiceOver has started announcing
that I am at 20% battery level somewhat before I think it should. Then I
also noticed at that same time that my phone is getting rather warm. When I
plug it in it cools off and charges just fine. I don't see any evidence
that some app is doing something that is making the phone work really hard.
Is it possible that my 6+ is approaching the end? I really hope not because
I don't want to have to buy a phone before the new ones come out next fall.
In fact I'd like my 6+ so much that I really don't want to have to buy a
new phone ever but of course I realize this is unrealistic. Has anybody had
this experience and what do you think? I've never had a phone give out
before I was ready to buy a new one but it has been passed a two year cycle
so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised if this is happening >
