That's what I understand, that you have to use disk utility to erase and install. The default is just to upgrade but I guess we'll find out when those discs start arriving. smile Remember to make a backup, no matter which install you choose, unless you can live without everything. Does this mean that the "erase and install" optione will not be there, and we will have to use disk utility?Other thing I was going to ask is does anybody know if there's a new voicein snow leopard? ash Personal website: www.ashleycox.co.uk----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan" <keysjd@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 27, 2009 6:01 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Install with Snow Leopard $29 PurchaseHello All, Incase anyone might be interested. I just spoke with AppleCare Technical support about running the Install DVD of Snow Leopard. She told me that the only difference between the Upgrade purchase and the Box set is this. The actual install DVD is no different and that in fact, if you wish, you can do a fresh install from scratch. She said that the only difference is the added applications like iLife. She also said that once booted into the DVD installer, just go to disc utilities and erase and start with a fresh install. Because I wanted to be sure of this, I decided to check.Click on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below. //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message.
