Hi,

It seems that you only can make a ringtone of a song you have bought in itunes.
If you search the web, you will find some ways to make a ringtone from a normal 
mp3 you have.
But it seems to me that those methods don't work.
also there are apps available on the net that create a ringtone for your iphone.
Again, I can just create a ringtone from my music a bought in ituens.
