If you go into a new window in the finder using command-n and then hit
command-shift-a you will be in the applications folder. Just copy the
chrome app from the volume to there and you should be all set.

Please accept my apologies for my ignorance, this sounds easy enough, where
do I find the applications folder?
Again forgive me I am a beginner not sure where everything is on the Mac.

All you need to do is to copy the Google Chrome app inside the volume to
your applications folder.
Hope that helps,

Sorry I forgot to mention that I am using a late 2013 iMac with Catalina.
When I install Google Chrome I do see Google Chrome volume on the desktop
but the next day it is not there. And I don’t know where to find Google
itself to open it so I end up installing it again that’s why I asked if
there’s anyway you have time to give me more step-by-step instructions.
From the bottom of my heart I’m very sorry for bothering you guys.

I don't understand the comment that the website does not function on
Safari, is this Youtube ? Youtube works on Safari.
After doing the install you will notice a Chrome volume in the same
column as Macintosh HD, inside this volume is the Chrome ap which can be
copied into the Applications folder. Once Chrome is opened it will appear
in the doc and you can click on it, scroll to options and select to keep
it in the doc.
I don't know that you need it on the desktop.
If you were asked tohave Chrome as your default browser that suggests it
has been correctly installed.
You should not have to reinstall it.
Are you using a laptop or desktop ?
I use a desktop and never turn it off.

Hi everybody I was sent a link for a YouTube interview and I got a
message that safari did not work with this website. I was told to
download Google Chrome which I did.
The download went well and I clicked on the Google chrome disk image and
followed the prompts to install. Google Chrome asked me if I wanted to
make the browser my default and I said yes. However the next day he
installed Google Chrome was nowhere to be found. Every time I turn on my
computer in the morning we have to reinstall Google Chrome. Any advice?
How can I make a Google Chrome installed stick on the Mac? How can I add
it either to my desktop or doc? Any help would be so much appreciated.
