Hello Ian:
I hesitate to believe that I might offer anything that might be interpreted as
wise counsel … lol … I do have a little experience with this topic given that
we have avid olympic fans around here of which I am one :)
First, let me begin with a disclaimer which will probably invite more responses
to this post … I was unable to find an app that did not cost a wee bit of coin
although we wanted to watch the events not just read the medal tallies. having
said that … the one I am currently watching the Canada vs. OAR (russia) hockey
game on is the FUBO TV app. it is the most accessible I have found and it has
the best coverage of events I have found in the US. saw all of the figure
skating and 5000K speed skating events last evening. good news … you can get a
7 day trial for free. not so good news if one is looking for least expensive …
if you sign up through the app and keep it … $39.99 for the monthly
subscription. if you sign up through the website, I believe you get the first 2
months for $19.99 and then it goes to $39.99. yes, that sounds like a chunk of
change though we are avid sports fans here and they have plenty of it year
round. And, quite frankly, they have made accessibility improvements to the app
since we initially subscribed. that would be my first choice if you have the
capital to spend and you think it is worth it.
Hulu has olympic coverage although I have not played much with it. I did not
have much success with the Youtube TV app or the slingTV app for accessibility
reasons. others may have better luck and if they wish to try … there are trial
periods as well :)
I hope some of that though probably not very wise sounding proves helpful.
Please let me know how you make out.
Sincerely
Patrick Neazer

Hello list, I’m wondering if anyone is having a particularly good experience
with iPHone apps for the Winter Olympics? I figured I’d ask before engaging
in any accessibility wrestling matches with my device.
I’m interested most in schedules, for both live and delayed broadcast.
Thanks for any wise counsel.
