Are you trying to erase the partition or delete the partition? Is Disk Utility
actually recreating the content or is it just giving you a blank partition? I
may be wrong but I suspect that maybe what you are wanting to do is get rid of
the partition completely. If so you have to use partition instead so that the
main partition resizes and takes over the one you have been using for the beta.
If this is what you need to do, make sure the dialog shows that nothing will be
erased. I apologize if my guess of what you are trying to do is wrong. To do
this you have to select the whole disk and not just the partition but again
make sure it shows that nothing will be erased. I am presuming the experimental
partition is now blank so that shouldn't be a problem.

Hi all,
I’m trying to erace my High Sierra betas partition and I can’t seem to do so.
When I hit erace it mounts the disk, supposively eraces and creates it again.
How do I permanently erace it since I’m going to install the final release out
today over Sierra.
Thanks.
