I bet you could solve this using audio hijack and possibly a usb sound
card, or even just a usb sound card without audio hijack, but I think
you may need the audio hijack pro, because it can route different apps
to different devices or recordings.

Karaoke microphone.
Still open to suggestions as to what settings I may need to tinker with.
