Hi everyone,
It seems like every six or seven years or so, I have to write to you all to
find out what people are using for scanning their mail. With the iPhone having
so many apps that do a great job of this, is anyone still using VueScan and
Read Iris together on the macOS?
I just purchase a refurbished M2 Mac mini, and set it up as a new computer
because I wanted a clean start. My 2017 iMac is still working great, but I was
really interested in trying out the Silicon Macs. I just retired from my job
after 22 years, and my colleagues all chipped in and gave me $400, with the
stipulation that I must spend it on technology, so of course, I had to oblige!
:)
If I go with VueScan and Read Iris, I will, once again need to fork out money
for an update to Read Iris, which looks like it may cost at least $100 maybe
more. I paid for a lifetime license for VueScan, so I’m okay there. I’m
currently using a 10 day trial of Read Iris, and am having all sorts of trouble
getting the two apps to play nice together. The steps on “I can work this
thing” are helpful, but a bit out of date.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Russell>
