1. Back up your system first. Instructions won't be given here as each method
is different.
2. Boot in to recovery ℅con soul with command r at start up. Hold down for
about 30 seconds, then release and then start voiceover.
3. Get to disk utility and go to the second thing with your drive name on it.
This is your OS X partition. Do not go to the top,
4. I interact with the tool bar and click erase..
5. Follow the prompts and click start erase.
6. Exit out of disk utility once the process
7. Choose reinstall OS X
7. Follow the prompts. If you have to sign in, hit ℅ f2 twice to get to the
dialogue. If that doesn't work hit FN ℅ f2. Twice.
If you have a bootable thumb drive is that will be much easier as you can then
erase the root of your mac's drive and just reinstall OS X with out signing in.
HOpe that helps. And sorry about the typos. I'm on my Bluetooth keyboard and
am not home.

Hello folks,
I am going to be selling my 2011 mac book pro, and I was wondering how to go
about wiping my mac and doing a fresh installation of el Capitan. Thanks for
the help,
