interesting, I use column view because list view is too verbose. you know, you can tame the verbosity. I had the mussel memory in my fingers pretty much worked out so that when I knew the folder that I wanted, I would shoot level past level. Once I remember a friend commented how the folders just flew by as though it were scroll view. Ah such fine days they were, but I remember with the added verbosity in Snow Leopard I had to give that up for list view. Basically the problem that I have had lately with it is when I go into a folder in column view, it wants to read something like (list one item selected) or something like that, which basically slows me down. When I used to go to a new folder, the first thing I heard and cared to hear was the name of the folder that my cursor was focused over, but now I have to wait something like two seconds for that information, which slows me down quite a bit. I wonder if anyone ever figured out how to make it so VO stops announcing a new list view every time I arrow into a new folder? It would be nice to start using column view like I used to, but so far I am finding that list view is more efficient.
