All the audio Daisy titles I personally come across nowadays are simply
playable with a standard media player like VLC or even iTunes.
This is because the book structure is at heart informed by the mp3 files or
whatever media format files are included in the Audio.
In the old days you would sometimes need the ncc.html file to instruct the
Daisy Player to play the audio files in the correct order. It has been years
since I have seen the necessity for this and all the books I encounter now play
in logical file order as revealed for example in a normal Finder window.
Having said that if you do need to be informed by any odd playing order of
media you could always open the ncc.html file in Safari and try to work it out
from there.
If you are using a text based Daisy I think this is adifferent kettle of fish.

Subject: [mac4theblind] audio DAISY download
I have an audio tutorial that was purchased and sent via DAISY download in a
zip file. Should I get these converted to MP3 format to be played on any
devices? I can’t think of anything other than an NLS cartridge that would play
this type of file. Nothing on the Mac not even quicklook would play them I
don’t think, and I can’t think of an app for iOS that plays audio DAISY files.
Thanks.
Juliette
P.S. If they need to be converted to MP3, is there an accessible program that
can do this?************
