I don't know if they fixed the bug with this or not by ttry this.

1. turn off yoru mac.
2. hold down cmd and r.

3. turn on yoru mac and keep the keystroke pressed for about 30 seconds.

4. turn on voice over.

5. choose disk usility.

6 choose your name of yoru mac drive. it will be the second one.

7. go to erace.

8. confirm and confirm again.

You should be able to reinstall your os from scratch and then leave the user to
activate it from there.

Tc.

Actually if you go to security options in disk utility under the erace
section for the drive, you could do a 1 pass wipe of 0s and that shoudl be
enough. I woudl not go past tha tas the time to have a secure erace varies.

Take care.

Depends on exactly how wiped you want the laptop to be. You could start in
recovery mode, reformat the hard drive and reinstall OSX but it’s possible
with the right tools to still extract data that was on the machine before
the erase / reformat took place. If you need to have things very secure
you’ll need to find software that wipes the disk by repeatedly writing junk
data over the surface. You could also use magnets but that probably would
negatively impact the inner workings of the laptop. How secure do you want
it to be?

Hi there, I was wondering if you can help me, I have an Mac book air 11
inch with the capacity of the Mac book air 13 inch 128 when I first had it
had snow leopard on it.
I would like to take every thing off my Mac book air, so it's back to when
you buy it and take it out the box, would some one be able to give me
instructions on how to do this, thank you for all your help, Sarah.
