I've done al of the above including reinstaling.

Dumb question. Do you think maybe it's becaused I'm signed into Facetime on my
IPod as well? I know at least with like msn messenger, skype, etc. you can be
signed in concurrently to two places. I'm wonderring if that isn't the case
with FT.

Chris.

Hmm vo space should work. I would try restarting the app and see if you get
anyware. Just wait until it bringsup your contact list. then try again. I got
it to work but there might be a glitch someware in the app. if not try
reinstalling it.

  Take care.

Vo M on the button? wouldn't that just bring the c ontext menu up? I
already did that if you meant vo shift m actually. Again, Like i said
initially, there is nothing rellavant in the menu bar.

Actualluy all you need to do is vo space on the button and it should
work. I didn't get the app even though it was a public beta about 6 months ago
lol! and forget about the prefs menu. that is not all that usable.

I got Facetime from the app store the other day. Let's just be
very up front clear. I'm not talking about the Facetime that is on I O S
devices like the IPod/IPhone/IPad. I'm speaking of the Mac version for OSX. I
kind of figured it out, but I'm a little bit stuck. When it opens, I do see a
drawer that I can' interact with. Nothing really much else though. I mean ok,
there's a favorites button, and may one or two other things plus the image
placeholder where the person you're talking to's video would go. In the video
menu, there really isn't a call or hang up or anything option. In the drawer,
however, I do! see a contacts table. If I interact with it, I see all my
contacts from my addressbook. The weird thing though is, they appear as
buttons, and the other odd thing is I have my mouse cursor set to follow the
voiceover cursor. Well, once I'm on the button in the table, if! it even
really be! a button, none the less, If I hit vo+F5, the really really strange
thing is it says my mouse is focused on the apple menu. I don't know if that's
the apple menu on the finder behiind the facetime window, or the one actually
in! the app. I think it's the one in the finder, but don't quote me, as I'm
not totally a hundred percent sure. So, if I do then a vo+command+F5, to route
my mouse, then check, the dad gum thing is still on the apple menu and hasn't
even moved an inch. I can't just vo+space on the button for the contact. that
doesn't seem to do anything. I admit I've not tried hitting return once on it,
but that's about the only other thing I've not tried. Wonder why I didn't
think a that earlier! Obviously, I can't click the actual track pad, as the
mouse isn't there on the button. I can't literally control click as again,
same reason. vo+shift+m isn't bringing a context menu up. So, yeah, I looked
in the menu bar to see if there might be a keystroke for call, but I'm not
seeing one. I know you can't call a contact directly from the Facetime app, on
the I O S version. You gotta go into the contact through contacts, then find
the contact and double tap, then go down to facetime and double tap, then if
more than one detail's present, then you gotta select the detail to call them
on. Like home/work, etc. So, with that in mind, I thought! maybe it's also
that way with the Mac version, but it doesn't seem to be, as in Addressbook,
I'm seeing absolutely no way to somehow link over to Facetime from a contact's
card. Again, I did all the obvious, vo+shift+M, looking in the menu bar, etc.
So, yeah, I've heard somewhere that Facetime was very voiceover friendly, but
I'm just not quite seeing how to do this.

If anyone can give me a little hand with this, I'd really
appreciate it. Yeah, I do have and use Skype very regularly, but I have a few
friends with I O S devices, and sometimes, it's just kind a nice to call them
there instead. Plus not all of them use Skype like I do, but do! use Facetime.

OK guys, I'm outta here, but thanks for your help. Really
appreciate it.

            Chris.
