We are very excited to announce that BrailleTouch will be on the App Store by January 31! BrailleTouch is an iPhone app that lets you type using braille on your touchscreen, and send text messages, emails, or tweets directly from the braille keyboard. You can also copy text you type using braille to the iPhone clipboard and paste this text into any other app on your phone. If you would like to receive occasional emails from us, including the release date for BrailleTouch, please click on the link below to confirm your subscription to the email list: http://scripts.dreamhost.com/add_list.cgi?g=a7a54c02ea24cd76a4abc03519633bbb BrailleTouch is available for the iPhone and iPod touch. The initial version supports English Grade 1 braille, based on the North American braille standards. We are working on Grade 2 contracted braille support for the future. BrailleTouch is fully compatible with VoiceOver. You can download a free version of BrailleTouch to try it out. The free version will speak characters and/or words as you type them in braille, and read back the full text you typed. If you are a braille instructor, the free version may also be a helpful tool to use with your students. If you want to send text messages, emails, tweets, or copy text to the clipboard from BrailleTouch, you can upgrade to the full version through an In-App Purchase.
