Dear MAASE Members,Here’s hoping that everyone is surviving MEAP & MiAccess. I also wish that all of you could have attended MAASE last week. According to the preliminary evaluations it was an excellent event overall and on a number of levels. Following are some highlights:
• The New Administrators Workshop was packed and participants walked away with a terrific resource book that will soon be available on our wiki site (aka “Clearinghouse”) at: http://maase.pbwiki.com/New+Administrators+Tools . Keep your eye out for it!
• Talking about wiki! John Dickey has agreed to provide a short workshop after the General membership meeting in December (Wednesday December 10, 2008 at 1:00 PM) about how to use the MAASE Clearinghouse. As someone has already mentioned, it’ll be a “wiki by Dickey.” Members should go to the Clearinghouse and check-it-out at: http://maase.pbwiki.com/FrontPage
• Bill Hartl submitted a report about the OSE-EIS workgroup on SPP 13. It is in the download section of the MAASE Website at: http://www.maase.org/Files/MAASE%20SPP13%20Report%2010-15-08.pdf
• A large group met as the Finance & Legislation Committee. The minutes are also in the MAASE Website download section at: http://www.maase.org/Files/10-14-08%20F&L%20Meeting%20Minutes.pdf
• “Spotlight” (previously “Cracker Barrel”) made its debut on Wednesday with a Medicaid Update by Tom Koepke, Jane Reagan and Elizabeth Patrick. The PowerPoint is also in the MAASE Website download section at: http://www.maase.org/Files/MAASE-Medicaid%20Update-Spotlight%2010-15-08.pdf
The High School Requirements Project Team met for a lengthy session with meeting minutes also available in MAASE download Center at: http://www.maase.org/Files/10-14-08%20Minutes%20of%20the%20HS%20Requirements%20Project%20Team.pdf
