The 172nd Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints will be held on Saturday and Sunday, 6-7 April 2002,
originating from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Messages
of inspiration and guidance will be delivered by the First Presidency,
members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General
Authorities and general officers of the Church.

All sessions of general conference will be broadcast over the Church
satellite system to meetinghouses throughout North America, Central
America, South America, and Europe.

Live session times are as follows:
Saturday morning session: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (MST)
Saturday afternoon session: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (MST)
Saturday priesthood session: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (MST)
Sunday morning session: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (MDT)
Sunday afternoon session: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (MDT)

Note the switch from standard time to daylight savings time
for the Sunday sessions.

In addition, Music and the Spoken Word, featuring the Mormon Tabernacle
Choir, will be broadcast on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. (MDT). Short Church-
related programs are planned to be broadcast during the two-hour break
between the morning and afternoon general sessions.

INTERNET BROADCAST

The general sessions of conference (not the priesthood session) will also
be broadcast live over the Internet at the Church's official website,
http://www.lds.org. Audio will be available in many languages, and video
will be available with English and Spanish streams.

Those who are interested in participating in the Internet broadcast are
encouraged to visit http://www.lds.org early for instructions and to
download software necessary to view or listen to the conference over the
Internet. NOTE that unlike previous conferences, only Windows Media
format will be used for this broadcast. Participants should ensure ahead
of time that they have the proper software configured for the broadcast.

OTHER BROADCAST OPTIONS

All general sessions will be carried live on KSL-TV channel 5, BYU-TV, and
the following digital satellite services:
- DirecTV 100 (18" round) - Channel 378
- DirecTV Plus (18" x 24") - Channel 374
- Dish Network 500 - Channel 9403 (BYU-TV)

Note that not all digital receivers can receive these channels; please
check your system ahead of time.

General sessions can also be seen on a tape-delayed basis on KBYU-TV
channel 11.

All general sessions will also be carried live on C-Band Analog (older
satellite systems): Galaxy 11, 91 degrees west, Transponder 17.
English audio will be 6.2 and 6.8. Spanish audio will be 5.8.

In addition, all general sessions will be transmitted via satellite to
approximately 1,500 cable television systems plus television and radio
stations in the United States and Canada on a public service basis.
