This is an exaggeration, Andy. Only US journalists had to be 'embedded'
into some US unit. There are a number of enterprising journalists not
embedded. The catch is that for Westerners, unescorted travel is
virtually impossible.
As for the Times' having made no effort to get its facts straight, this
was a report of someone's estimates and conclusions: not a Times report,
something you and another listmember may have overlooked.
