I grew up in Phoenix many moons ago. It was before AC was widespread in homes. If the outdoor temp sank below 60 degrees, people grabbed for their coats. It was a dry heat, so not as oppressive as it is in Missouri. But still, people swam in their outdoor pools in the middle of the night in December to cool off. So yes, 23 would have been considered "crisp". Julie Krueger ========Original Message======== Subj: [lit-ideas] Re: p.s. Date: 1/18/2007 3:10:45 P.M. They're in as much weather shock as the rest of us. but it's a DRY crisp. I was in the Grand Canyon in October of 1994 and there was ice on the parking lot each morning. So 23 in january, can't be THAT unusual, can it? p
