You may know that the Lone Star Iconoclast of Crawford, Texas, Bush's
home town, has endorsed Kerry. It is paying a heavy price for this
action, in what is in effect a one-party town. There have been death
threats, but I imagine these are bluster, and the real problem will be
economic. (Of course, as a woman resident of Crawford told Channel 4,
free speech also entails her right not to support the paper.)
