Am I crazy? (Don't answer that too quickly -- please allow me to make my case.) I walked up to the store today, which entails walking past a junior high school. A sharp and heavy odor hit me as I rounded the corner. I glanced at my watch, noticing that lines of school buses -- at least 20 -- were already in the drive, to the side. A cluster of bus drivers were camping out in lawn chairs eating sandwiches and smoking in a group behind one of the last buses. It was 2:15. The buses were all running, idling. Did my shopping, came back, around to the school buses which at 2:40 were still sitting, all of them, every one, idling. I know for a fact that the school dismisses at 2:45. What the hell? Is someone going to tell me that there's a reason for those monster machines to be running for 30 minutes waiting for the students? I'd love to know. Or not. Julie Krueger
