Drat! I just got the hardback from the local library, and was hoping to see what she did with EM Forster-updates-Lucky Jim. Is it that bad?

Judy's reply says it all.

That's why I never buy hardbacks. It's just too early and they are generally too GD expensive. I wait for the RPs of the world to yay or nay them and then buy the paperback a year later at 1/3 of the price.
