I was just Spammed by the Great Vegetarian Novel Contest.
"To read a vegetarian-related story by ..."
"To read meat-free poetry by ..."
The Green? Oh that's $25 per manuscript page per entry, and each
manuscript must be submitted complete. A bit tough on designers of
vegetarian family sagas and their meat-free generations. Five hundred to
the winner and the holders promise to "really, really try" to place your
vegan vision before an empowered literary agent. If that fails -- and
here we should imagine them trying hard to place your work, day after
day with no luck -- they promise to post your opus on their Web site.
