He also said that eventually we would probably have to have a draft. My friends who have served with many of the National Guardsmen/Reserves have also said that it is like serving with people who have been drafted--most of them do not want to be there and were in it for the benefits. (Not all--but alot) I imagine we'll be told they are 'surgical strikes'...but they'll be as surgical as the ones in Iraq are/have been--and lots of moms/dads/little kids are going to be hurt/killed/maimed. Oh, well. Btw, Lawrence--one of my friends who lives in a fairly rural spot in my three country area (We call it the Land that Time Forgot, mostly) said they'd been hit with a rash of burglaries lately. Since it is a pretty small area, they apparently have figured out who it is--a couple of meth boys (kids he used to have--he's a superintendent of schools in one of the few surviving K-8 schools in the State of Missouri)--who used to be 'good boys' but have gotten messed up. He wanted to know if I could use my NSA connections (he knows I have siblings there) to bring in the surveillance that was needed to deal with it properly. I told him 'probably not, but I'll see what I can do about the vigilantes.' Will you be in charge of the group as I round up the rest of the gang? We've got to clean out that town--it's one of the last remaining refuges for those in our world. And now, there has been a crash of civilizations with the big city 'infected' boys moving back to town... I think you and dogs might even be able to do the job with just one or two others... don't know if they have converted to Islam, but they may have. Surely would be appreciated, though...and someone's got to do something... (there's no real law there, you know, as the sheriff's dept is too busy in the parts of that large county that matter...) Best, Marlena
