[lit-ideas] The CDC

I learned that the Bush administration cut funding for the CDC by 11%.  They 
are our first line of defense against biological WMD or any pathogenic insults, 
from AIDS to anthrax to flu to ebola to West Nile to whatever.  I don't 
remember, why did we attack Iraq?  Something about biological (and chemical and 
nuclear) WMD?  Neither did this crack terror-fighting team ever put together a 
terrorist watch list, a very effective, low cost anti-terror procedure which 
would have cost a few million dollars and taken six months.  I'm just messing 
up my Friday writing this.
