Wow! I've lived on Copeland St. for more than twenty-five years and never once thought of Aaron. The things you can learn lurking and listening. And the things you can't learn googling. Poor Aaron gets his name spelled Copeland and Copland somewhat indiscriminately. It's interesting how google has begun, in my practice anyway, to replace the dictionary. It's often faster and usually closer to hand. But mistakes multiply so fast in the interstices of the web that you sometimes can't trust the information and you have to check ever more sites looking for consensus. I typed in Aaron Copeland and netted a variety of sites which seemed to use either spelling -- occasionally even both on the same page. Eventually went to the Library of Congress Music listings to set my mind at ease. As to Sexy Addresses, I like the streets named after the Beat poets in the area around the City Lights book store.
