Can't help with admissions itthues--not my job, guv-- but on the subject of 
authenticity, try this:

In the comments you'll find "drongoes"--new to me, apparently of Australian 
origin and reinforced by the punk rock band, "legendary" from the "golden era 
of chaos punk"--and "It's all a bit wee drum haw to most folk," which I believe 
is an onomatopoeic reference to the rhythmic and repetitive nature of gaelic 
singing.  I am reminded of my mother's accounts of ceilidghs of her youth in 
which, she said, miseries of the past were not transformed by art; they were 
re-enacted in five hundred or so verses.
