The NK missile can indeed reach the USA, if one considers the far-western
edges of Alaska as the US. It'll annoy polar bears, but not much else.
The greater concern is the missile's reach across all of India, most of Russia, all of China, Japan, and all of Southeast Asia (but not Australia). The NK missile gives NK the ability to threaten all of East Asia.
