[lit-ideas] Many adults think children are 'feral', survey finds

This story was in the news the same day as the one about the English vs. other 
U.K. diets.   I was surprised to see that Dr. Barnardo's charity was still 
around and active.  The Home Children that his and other charities sent to 
Canada were of great interest to me years ago.   I mentioned in that other 
thread, a one-act play I participated in once.  I don't even remember its name, 
but it was based on the actual lives of the narrators and it dramatized the sad 
lives of so many of the children.  

It's been a few years since I've been in London, but I don't remember any 
'feral' children.   Of course, perhaps they weren't hanging around the British 
Museum.  Or, perhaps, this is an over-dramatization?
