This story was in the news the same day as the one about the English vs. other U.K. diets. I was surprised to see that Dr. Barnardo's charity was still around and active. The Home Children that his and other charities sent to Canada were of great interest to me years ago. I mentioned in that other thread, a one-act play I participated in once. I don't even remember its name, but it was based on the actual lives of the narrators and it dramatized the sad lives of so many of the children. It's been a few years since I've been in London, but I don't remember any 'feral' children. Of course, perhaps they weren't hanging around the British Museum. Or, perhaps, this is an over-dramatization? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15568442 Sent from my kitchen...------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
