I am starting to think that Flew got expelled from Christ Church because he
was a non-believer (in God). Surely if you are going to be a don (tutor)
in philosophy at an institution called "Christ Church" (which is the
OFFICIAL cathedral of Oxford) you cannot go and say, "God does not exist", as
Flew
did.
He was a student of Grice's and lasted in Christ Church for two years. He
left Oxford for good in Sept. 1950. Why?
