I don't want to sound like I'm a bleeding heart for Saddam. I'm not. He was a vicious monster, like Stalin. I'm just getting at that victims create victims. Had the original crime of that child being tortured been punished by humanity, we'd stand a chance of not having more Saddams. Instead, that crime went unnoticed and we guaranteed the creation of more Saddams by creating war and turmoil. Vaporizing isn't an antidote to al Qaeda. Vaporizing is tonic, vitamins, steroids. They thrive on war. They love it. Violence begets violence. What they can't survive is a political solution, and there is no political solution on the horizon. ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
