Tobacco smoking, its yay and nay, are economic considerations and fall outside the bounds of moral reasoning. Ten thousand philosophers questioning the moral circumstances of smoking prohibitions will not alter the effect of smoking on insurance costs, will not prevent the insurance companies from using their bribed politicians to inveigh against it, and will not prevent "progressive" administrations from enacting smoking restrictions and bans. You are powerless, gentlemen and gentlewomen, your arguments rising like blue Virginian smoke from the hypothetical pipe of maximim, only to be tapped out into the dirty ashtray of cost management.

Therefore I suggest we all take up smoking. Think of it as voting with your lungs. I recommend American Spirit additive-free tobacco, available cheaply in vacuum sealed cans. When rolled with a filter-capable rolling machine, the blend produces a heavy yet flavorful smoke that will rise above the contentions-in-a-bottle of those with no irons in the fire. Before you dispute, light up! As tobacco addicts, we will have a much needed perspective on the topic; as roll-your-owners, we will have that Bohemian chic of publicly rejecting commercial labels while privately enjoying them.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em,
