Those writing about the decline and fall of civilizations, historians,
sociologists, and anthropologists have developed terminology suitable to
their tasks.  Huntington uses the most widely accepted classification of
civilizations in his thesis. Germany, of course, is in the Western
Civilization. 

 

I'm sure Huntington, and the other historians, sociologists and
anthropologists will be devastated to learn that you don't approve of their
terminology.

Lawrence, what civilization would you put the Germans in (WWII)?  

Clashes of civilizations is an oxymoron.  Clashes of barbarians is more to
the point.  Clashes of barbarians is definitely ongoing.  It's known as
history.
