Well, the idea was:
 
   What is Britney Spears?
 
as opposed to
 
   _Who_ is Britney Spears.
 
Some suggested:
 
   She's a lip-syncher.

My proposal was that any '-er' ending word one uses to _label_ a person  
describes her essence. 
 
-- This may need a contextual focusing. Britney Spears may be a different  
sort of "-er" for a different person (a "daughtER" to his mothER, notably). But 
 
there's no way of escaping the fact that '-er' words essentially  
'essentialize'.
