I just finished what I think a spectacular read -- "The Brief Wondrous Life
of Oscar Wao", by Junot Diaz. I find on the flyleaf that he has a previous
book published, titled "Drown". I can't get to the library fast enough
this evening. Anyone else thoroughly enjoy him?

Just finished explaining to a student the kinds of occasions for the use of
the Spanish subjunctive...I might have done better and more quickly by
telling her when it isn't used...

Tangentially, I'm wondering all over again why Latin American Spanish uses
"vos" so much less frequently than Spanish d'Espana ... JL, maybe?
