Haven't seen either movie, but have read Beowulf, and Grendel by John
Gardner. The latter would make a poor movie, I think, because it would
involve too much narration ... although someone like the young Hal
Hartley could probably pull if off. It's a cinematic shame ... because
Beowulf is about courage whereas Grendel is about empathy.
