How much did Bush pay Putin to say this?<
This would hardly save Bush's neck. If the Russians gave the Administration this
information after the 9/11 attacks it would surely have used it in the
intervening months as part of the justification for its senseless war. Indeed,
Bush would have used it yesterday when he tried to play word games in response
to the Commission's report.
"Hours after Putin spoke, Bush addressed troops in a lengthy speech at Fort
Lewis in Washington state but didn't react to the Russian leader's remarks.'
