JOB DESCRIPTION - Uses technical expertise, product knowledge, information on marketing strategy, and communication skills to facilitate smooth transfer of products from the lab to the market by working effectively with Product Managers, R&D, Technical Support, Quality, and Production. - Writes, edits, and revises technical product documentation including User Manuals and Product Analysis Certificates, and coordinates or produces related graphics. - Writes, edits, and coordinates marketing collateral such as brochures and flyers, and contributes to Clontechniques, the quarterly product newsletter. - Provides editorial assistance to scientists for scientific manuscripts, posters, and other presentations. QUALIFICATIONS Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in life science discipline, with particular emphasis in molecular biology and/or cell biology. Other requirements: 2-4 years experience writing about life sciences (examples include research grant proposals, protocols, journal articles, abstracts). Requires high familiarity with molecular biology, excellent writing skills, and strong attention to detail.
